“The human soul doesn't want to be advised, fixed or saved. It simply wants to be witnessed...exactly as it is.“
- Parker Palmer
ABOUT ME

I am a queer Registered Social Worker (MSW) offering virtual therapy to people across Ontario. I support clients navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, and gender identity. I also work with people going through periods of change, questioning, or feeling uncertain about where they are in life.

I offer therapy through a trauma-informed and non-pathologizing lens. At the heart of my work is a belief in your autonomy and your wisdom. I trust that healing unfolds in its own timing, and in ways that make room for your capacity. I aim to create a space where all parts of you are welcome, especially the parts that have had to work the hardest just to keep you going. I see therapy as a collaborative process of gently coming back into relationship with yourself, with more compassion and clarity over time.

Alongside this, I bring a quiet spiritual awareness into my work. I have studied Reiki and I hold space for healing that can include the energetic layers of experience that are not necessarily seen.

I identify as gender nonconforming and as a child of immigrants. My lived experiences have shaped how I understand safety, survival, identity, and healing. I know how deeply environments can shape a person, and how survival often involves both adaptation and resilience.

My cultural background as a Greek queer person also informs my practice. I understand the nuance of navigating identity within cultural, family, and generational expectations, and what it can feel like to belong to more than one world at once. Alongside my personal history, I bring over 15 years of experience in community mental health settings, including crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and supporting people through complex emotional pain. I hold these experiences not as symptoms, but as meaningful responses to overwhelming circumstances.

In our work together, we can move at a pace that feels right for you. We can make space to understand your story with care rather than judgment. Whether you are seeking support during a difficult time or feeling a pull toward something deeper. Therapy can be a place to land, where you begin to find your way back to yourself.

HOW I WORK

These are the therapeutic modalities I incorporate into sessions, tailored to your needs, strengths, and goals to create a safe and supportive space for healing. I work from a trauma-informed, queer-affirming, feminist, and non-pathologizing perspective, emphasizing choice, empowerment, and collaboration throughout therapy.

Queer Affirming
I practice from a queer-affirming lens that actively acknowledges, validates, and celebrates queer identities and lived experiences. I recognize the impact of societal oppression and prioritize safety, autonomy, and dignity in the therapeutic space. This means using inclusive language, challenging heteronormative assumptions, and honoring each person’s self-defined identity. My goal is to create a space where queer clients can show up fully, without fear of judgment, correction, or erasure.

Trauma Informed
I provide trauma-informed care that recognizes how common trauma is and how it can affect thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships. I focus on creating a safe, supportive space built on trust, choice, and empowerment so you feel respected and in control of your healing. Within this space, I use trauma-focused approaches to help you process difficult experiences, understand their impact on your mind and body, and develop coping skills. I work carefully to avoid re-triggering, support symptom reduction, and help you restore a sense of safety, strength, and hope.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
I use EMDR to help the brain safely process distressing memories so they no longer feel overwhelming. I guide sessions with care and at your pace, prioritizing safety, choice, and feeling supported throughout the process. EMDR involves bilateral stimulation—such as eye movements, tapping, or sounds—while you briefly focus on parts of a difficult experience. Over time, this helps reduce emotional intensity and allows you to respond from a calmer, more grounded place in your life today.

Somatic Therapy
I use somatic therapy to support the connection between the body and mind, recognizing that stress and trauma are often held physically in the body. We use gentle, body-based practices—such as breathing, movement, or noticing sensations—to help regulate the nervous system and release tension. Sessions are guided with care, choice, and respect for your boundaries, so you remain in control throughout the process. The goal is to help you feel more grounded, present, and integrated in both body and mind.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I use IFS to help you understand the different “parts” of yourself. These parts hold emotions, beliefs, and are shaped by your experiences. Together, we get to know these parts with curiosity rather than judgment and explore how they try to help or protect you. We also connect with your core Self. This is the calm, grounded part of you that can relate to all parts with compassion. The goal is to reduce internal conflict and increase your understanding of yourself.

Feminist
I practice feminist therapy, which understands that personal struggles are often connected to larger systems of power, oppression, and inequality. I prioritize collaboration, transparency, and shared decision-making, valuing your lived experience as your expertise. Together, we work to challenge internalized oppression and strengthen your sense of agency. This approach supports understanding how gendered, social, and cultural forces impact your well-being and relationships, helping you navigate life with more empowerment and insight.

Harm Reduction
I approach this work from a harm reduction perspective, meeting people where they are without requiring abstinence or change before they are ready. I prioritize safety, dignity, and autonomy, recognizing that people engage in behaviors for complex and understandable reasons. In practice, this means offering nonjudgmental support, education, and practical strategies to reduce risk and increase safety. My goal is to support your well-being while honoring your lived experience and choices.

Mindfulness
I use mindfulness to help you gently focus on the present moment with openness and without judgment. Through mindfulness practices, you learn to notice thoughts, emotions, and body sensations as they arise, rather than feeling overwhelmed or reacting automatically. We approach this work at a pace that feels safe and supportive, with an emphasis on choice and self-compassion. Over time, mindfulness can reduce stress, increase self-awareness, and create more space to respond thoughtfully instead of from habit or overwhelm.
